- Helping our HR colleagues and operations colleagues to be compliant in all employment laws in Guatemala.
- Helping navigate employment challenges that arise when employing a large number of people.
- Supporting other Legal Department efforts in Guatemala, such as drafting or reviewing vendor contracts.
- Being the Legal Department representative in country.
- Supporting similar efforts in other countries, as needed.
- Collaborating closely with other Legal Department colleagues and functional support groups to provide general legal advice and counsel
- Law Degree from a top-tier law school
- Licensed to practice law in Guatemala or the United States
- Five years relevant experience
- Expertise with Guatemala employment laws
- Ability to communicate fluently in English, including writing clearly and effectively in business and legal correspondence and reports
- Ability to diplomatically but effectively negotiate
- Ability to identify issues and develop options for addressing those issues
- Ability to effectively present (orally and in writing) information to all levels of an organization

The Senior Counsel is an attorney with at least five years of experience focused on representing companies in HR matters. Ideally, the person would also have experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts. If you have supported companies in all types of HR matters, and have a plenty of common sense and great communication skills, then we would encourage you to apply.
