    Desired Candidate Profile

    The Senior Community-Based Protection Assistant (Communication with Communities) will report to the Community-based Protection Officer. In coordination with CBP (CwC), Protection, Public Information, Information Management units in the country office and the field offices she/he is expected to coordinate the CwC in the context of Safe Mobility program, aligned to the overall Community-Based Protection objectives and thorough age, gender and diversity (AGD) analysis reflecting the operations and organization ́s global and country-level priorities.

    The Senior Community-Based Protection Assistant (CwC) supports UNHCR ́s external outreach as relevant, including in the areas of social media, website, WhatsApp, e-mail, community radio as well as through the production of leaflets, posters, graphics, and videos. The incumbent monitors communications channels and gathers information of relevant stakeholders through (surveys, Q&A, analyzing feedback received through feedback mechanisms including hotline, suggestion boxes by e-mail) and support the upkeep outreach activities.

    S/he will also assist in the design and implementation of communication interventions, including the production of both print and online materials in the context of Safe mobility Program.

    Duties

    -Implement the Communications with Communities (CwC) initiatives and develop and coordinate the communication material within the Safe Mobility Program.
    -Identify the most appropriate channels and tools for conveying messages
    -Maintain close coordination and collaboration with field units, other UNHCR's areas on central level and with CwC staff in the UNHCR Regional Bureau to ensure harmonized approaches to communicating with communities within the Safe Mobility program.
    -Coordinate with suppliers to produce communication materials and the dissemination of communication products as required.
    -Support in providing of trainings for the UNHCR staff and its partner organizations on UNHCR mass communication approaches and initiatives.
    -Provide support to the overall CwC strategy as required.
    -Collect data for monitoring of the implementation of the Safe Mobility Program and adapt the CwC approach as required
    -Provide support in designing of communication materials as required
    -Perform other related duties as required.

    Certificates and licenses
    -University Degree in Social Sciences or related fields or in Communication, Journalism.
    -Other with relevant work experience is also admitted.

    -Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
    -Knowledge of social media, website, different communication channels.
    -Good IT skills including database management skills.
    -Proven drafting, writing or research skills.
    -Excellent presentation skills
    -Well organised and able to coordinate
    -Abilities related to Information Management are an asset
    -Abilities related to graphic design are asset
