    We are looking for the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Coordinator (MEL) to support the Feed the Future Guatemala Scaling Agriculture Technologies Coordination Project. The position will be supervised by the Technical Director and will coordinate actions with Project Partners (ICTA and UVG) as well as other organizations identified along the project development.

    The Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Sustainable Intensification (SIIL), Kansas State University, was awarded by the USAID to implement the Feed the Future Guatemala Scaling Agriculture Technologies Coordination (GSCAT) project for the period January 2024-January 2029. The purpose is to strengthen existing research, education, and outreach entities in Guatemala. It will play a key role in coordinating the USG, donor groups, international and national agricultural project activities, and help key stakeholders and the private sector in Guatemala on Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) related research, education, extension and advisory activities. The model of promising CSA technologies will be showcased and disseminated to key stakeholders, including policy makers, private sector, development partners, researchers, extension groups and farmers.

    General objective for this position:
    Ensure the achievement of the Project objectives with the planned indicators, coordinating closely with the technical team of the Project and the partner organizations in order to guarantee the execution of the cooperation agreements and the fulfillment of the indicators and goals according to the annual work plans.

    The successful candidate will focus on the following:

    ● The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist (MEL) position will work to develop and implement the MEL system based on USAID guidelines.
    ● The MEL will work with the SIIL team and will be responsible for implementing the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Plan.
    ● Responsible for coordinating actions with the project managers of the partner organizations, beneficiary groups and strategic partners, in order to implement the monitoring and evaluation mechanisms of the project management, and to operate the collection and registration of information for the taking of decisions that will report directly to the Project Director through information on expected results, indicators and impacts.
    ● Responsible for leading the development and/or updating of the results framework
    ● Responsible for defining the scope of the initial, intermediate and final baseline of the Project
    ● Responsible for monitoring the project baselines in coordination with Project partners.
    ● Lead the systematic and periodic monitoring of compliance with activities, through participatory meetings and field visits.
    ● Lead the development of innovative ways of collecting and analyzing data, including pioneering qualitative and quantitative approaches
    ● Ensure that each of the projects that monitors the level of achievement of main indicators (specific objectives and results) is in accordance with what is established in each of the projects.
    ● Provide information to produce a range of communication materials for internal and external target audiences.
    ● Support the evaluation needs related to Project events, scientific meetings, and other activities relevant to the oversight of the Project.
    ● Design the instruments and formats to document, disseminate and institutionalize the lessons learned from the Project in the regions covered by the Project.
    ● Maintain continuous communication with the Project Managers of the partner organizations that promote the respective technologies about the status of progress or delay of activities.
    ● Keep organized and updated data project KPI and consistent with MEL system to ensure their implementation
    ● Coordinate the creation of digital content for required evaluation reports. Support the social media accounts.
    ● Create, update a project website, and prepare evidence for press releases and other communication outlets.
    ● Coordinate with Communication Specialist content to promote the monitoring and evaluation efforts of project partners, researchers, and other project professionals to promote their efforts and boost awareness
    ● The Coordinator will report to the Project Director, with linkages to the Associate Director (SIIL)

    Requisitos

    The Ideal Candidate Will Fulfill The Following Requirements

    ● University degree in engineering, social sciences, business management and/or related field with knowledge about agriculture. Degree in Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning System is desirable.
    ● Must have no less than five years verifiable work experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning systems.
    ● Hands on experiences in Project Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
    ● Familiar with Microsoft suite and M&E tools (SPSS statistic, Tableau or similar to analyze data)
    ● Experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning systems applied to USAID and other donor projects.
    ● Experience in working with multiple stakeholders and clients.
    ● Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
    ● Strong Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    ● Accuracy in processing large and diverse quantities of data
    ● Knowledge of digital presentations.
    ● Good managerial skills and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
    ● Fluent in English, Spanish, and/or Indigenous languages.
    ● Experience working in multicultural settings
    ● Service-oriented, pragmatic, flexible
    ● Planning and organizational skills
    ● Must be able to travel regularly where project partners are working.
    ● Affinity with the vision and mission of KSU.
    ● Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a complex and demanding environment
